A settlement has been reached with Jack’s Family Restaurants, LP (“Jack’s” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This class action lawsuit concerned the targeted cyberattack on Jack’s computer systems that occurred approximately between July 24 – August 10, 2025 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained Private Information were illegally accessed. These files may have contained information that varied by individual such as names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, and bank account information for direct deposit of wages.
The lawsuit is captioned In re Jack’s Family Restaurants, LP Data Breach Litigation, Case No.: 2:25-cv-01861-LCB, pending in the United States District Court, Northern District of Alabama, Northern Division (the “Action”). Jack’s denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the litigation.
If you received notice, Jack’s records indicate that you are a Settlement Class Member and are entitled to benefits under the Settlement. You may have received a previous notice directly from Jack’s.
